Spring Event
Remember April 19, 20 and 26. SOAR will be co-hosting Lonsdale Cleanup Days on Saturday, April 19 and 26, with Lonsdale United for Change and several local churches. This will be litter cleanup as well as planting flowers, etc. Stay tuned for details.

SOAR Annual Walkathon-- On Saturday,April 26, at 2:00 p.m., SOAR will be hosting its 2nd annual Walk for Inner City Kids at Lakeshore Park. This is SOAR's other major fundraising event (fall banquet is the first). If you could help by volunteering (or running) please call Pete at 544-5881, ext 26. We want to give special thanks to two of our Gold Sponsors, New Balance of Knoxville, and BB&T.

Prep Program
The Spring Semester started January 15 and runs to May 8 on Mondays,Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Our Middle School Program is meeting on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please remember we are closed when the Knox County schools are closed.

Spring Sports Program
SOAR currently has 24 kids participating in spring sports. We have three girls in softball and three boys in baseball in our partnership with KYS. Due to the generosity of West Park Baptist Church, SOAR has started a new program of Upward Soccer. We have 18 very excited kids playing, most of them for the very first time. Volunteers are needed to help transport the kids to and from games and practices.
